Clearly consistency has been a bit of a challenge for me regarding this whole blogging thing. Work is obviously a huge obstacle (darn you, adult responsibility!), but I can’t blame all my consistency issues on work. A huge part of the problem is a lack of any sort of schedule for what I post. I’ve been trying to think of some weekly and or monthly series I can start writing. I think it will be a win-win because it will help me to take some of the brainstorming out of blogging, and it will give you, my audience, a couple guaranteed posts that you can expect and look forward to. Sounds pretty good, right!?
One such series I’ve decided to start is a weekly one that I’m going to call, “The Friday Five”.This weekly post will debut on, wait for it…Fridays! You would have never guessed, huh? It will just sort of be a collective post about five random things. (Wow, Molly! Descriptive!) Most likely it will be five pictures of things that I enjoyed throughout the week. An outfit I really liked, some fresh flowers I saw on a walk, a really yummy burger I had for lunch…that sort of stuff! I like the idea of showcasing the little things in life, because often they are what make all the difference.
Now, I can’t take full credit for this idea. There are several bloggers I follow really closely, like Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere, that do something similar. So yeah, I’ll admit I’m not being the most original but I look forward to those sorts of post and thought it would be fun to do some of my own! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right!?
I’m throwing around some other ideas for serial posts like a weekly one about my favorite Pinterest pins, a weekly Instagram round-up, and or a monthly post about my favorite things from that month ranging from makeup and hair products to movies, music, and television shows. I’ll be sure to keep in you in the loop and let you know if I decide to do any other weekly or monthly series. Until then, I hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the first installment of the Friday Five!
4. I told myself I would pick a paint color in one trip to Home Depot. It took two. (How pretty are all these colors, though!?)
5. A fresh haircut. I wanted go shorter which I thought was really brave of me! Although, I’ve already deciding I’m growing it out.
