New Year’s Resolutions and Goals

I’m going to be that person and express just how much I can not believe/get over the fact that another whole year, 12 whole months, has passed us by. It’s insane! (Is it just me or is time moving faster? No, just me? You feel it, too..right!?)

2015 was pretty amazing, but I’m looking forward to the clean, fresh slate that is a new year. I’m not going to any fancy parties as I’ll be ringing in the new year at work (woo hoo!), but I took some time to reflect on things that I hope to achieve and or work on in the new year.

I’ll admit that I used to poke fun at the idea of making resolutions. For instance, the age “lose weight” resolution that usually lasts until mid-February and then slowly but surely, the weight-lifting gets traded for TV watching and pizza with extra cheese (raise your hand if you’ve been there, done that! #raiseshandslowly). And yet, over the years I’ve thought about it more and more and concluded that we’re all human. I think it’s good to set goals for ourselves and even better to understand that if we get off track, it’s okay and totally possible to pick ourselves up and start again. So, needless to say, now this avid list maker gets overly excited about jotting down goals for the new year.

Below is the list of things (so far! I’m sure I’ll edit and more) I hope to work on and achieve throughout 2016. Some are personal, some are blog related, some are job related, but all of them are important to me. I hope they will be reminders for me to push myself and to settle for nothing but the best out of myself. Life is too short not to have fun, set goals, achieve things we never thought possible, and dream bigger than we ever thought imaginable. Here’s to making our dreams a reality in 2016, cheers!
