Warning: This post may enable you to buy the tote bag featured in this post. I, the author, can in no way be held responsible for any guilt related to treating yo self and or expanding your handbag collection. Continue with caution (…and your wallet far away from you)

Oh, Tory Burch. You’ve done it. You’ve taken a girl that had sworn off using totes as an everyday bag, and turned her into a tote bag carrying fanatic. I used to think totes were shapeless, sad looking bags that were meant exclusively for school or work. Nope. Wrong. Myth BUSTED.

So, what made this tote skeptic fall so deeply in love with this bag? Allow me to explain.

As many of you know, I’m a huge into Instagram, and this particular bag kept popping up on my feed. It seemed like all of a sudden it was the bag to be carrying. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but then I realized how the brown color was so versatile, it seriously goes with any outfit, and how the bag’s tote shape made it practical for carrying lots of things (I’m a notorious over packer, even where my purses are concerned) Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the strap drop (A 9.4″ strap drop to be precise). I gravitate toward bags that I hold in the crook of my arm, but carrying a bag in such a manner not only gets in the way, it gets heavy! I decided that an over the shoulder tote style bag was desperately needed in my collection, and it had to be this one. So, long story short (who am I kidding…my stories are NEVER short!) I had been lusting after this particular Tory Burch Perry Tote for about a year before my sweet boyfriend surprised me with it for my birthday (Thanks, babe!)

Well, it’s been over a month now, and I’ve carried it everyday since the day I received it! I’m super impressed with this bag and I highly recommend you consider this bag or something similar. Here’s why:

  1. The shape; It’s structured, but not too structured. The Perry tote is the perfect balance of structured and supple. It keeps it shape, but is also pliable.
  2. The size; This tote is a great size! At 14.9″L x 5.9″W x 11.3″H, it is big enough to hold a decent sized laptop without looking like a piece of luggage. On a daily basis I have my planner, a water bottle, wallet, several small pouches and cases, and sometimes a change of shoes, and I still have room to spare!
  3. The color range; This bag comes in a variety of colors, and the cutest part? Each exterior color has a different interior color! Once I knew that the brown color, “Bark Brown” to be specific, had gold interior I was even more convinced I had to have it!
  4. The pockets; The interior of the bag has two pockets that are actually very functional!  The phone pocket is big enough to hold my iPhone 6 plus, WOOT WOOT!, and the pocket directly behind it is great for headphones, gum, pens, or anything that you want to be able to reach for quickly.
  5. The wear; I’ve only had this bag for a little over a month, but I haven’t babied it at all. This bag has been tossed in the back seat, fallen off the front seat, set on the ground, and it still looks brand new!

THIS BAG: If I’ve convinced you to consider this bag, you can check it out in the Bark Brown color and several others HERE.

SOMETHING SIMILAR: I’m not going to play dumb, though. I know the price is steep, and some people prefer not, or are unable, to invest as much in their handbags which I totally understand and respect. But FEAR NOT! You should never feel as though you have to spend untold amounts of money to look and feel stylish. I did some research and found THIS alternative which is budget friendly (under $50!), and has great reviews! It’s also reversible…ummm, BONUS!

What are your favorite handbags? Do you have any on the top of your wish list? Let me know in the comments!
