Golden Feathers in My Hair

I’d say I do a fair amount of things pretty well. I can swim like a fish, I make a mean batch of pancakes, and I’m no stranger to the stage. Hairstyling however, was never my forte. I can’t braid to save my life, and my ponytail skills are severely lacking. I’ve had long hair for about 15 years, though and I’m always looking for things to do with my mane.

One of my go to hairstyles is a messy bun. It’s sort of fool proof because if ends up looking a bit rough, well that’s the point! I just always hated that the one hairstyle I have mastered was such a casual one. If only there was a way to dress it up a bit…enter Kitsch bun pins. These babies are so gorgeous, and pretty much an excuse to wear a little crown in your everyday life. And you deserve it, queen!

Many of their bun pins come in a gold and silver option, and the selection is so wide! After much deliberation and browsing through the Kitsch website, I settled on a golden feather version, and oh my goodness. Obsessed doesn’t even begin to cover it.

It makes me feel to regal and put together and kind of like a Game of Thrones character which is never a bad thing! It makes the messiest of buns look like a fancy up-do, it’s sturdy enough that you know its good quality, but light enough that you forget you’re wearing it. Another thing I love about these pins is that most can be worn in a high or low bun, hello versatility! It’s safe to say I’ll be picking up a couple more…

Thank you to KITSCH for providing me with the bun pin featured in this post. As always, all opinions are my own!

Love it! I literally wear my hair in a top knot EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. So this is a great way to not be so boring!
