My Current Skin Care Routine

DSC_8972.JPG

Skin care is something I take pretty seriously, regardless of the love/hate relationship I have with my skin. I didn’t start having consistent skin issues until college, which was beyond frustrating. Like hello! Aren’t I past this stage in my life!? My effortlessly smooth, blemish free skin was totally taken for granted during my high school years, and now I’d give anything to wake up without and unexpected patch of zits on my face.

Since my skin issues started, (I’d say my skin is sensitive, oily/combination, and definitely falls victim to hormonal break outs), I’ve explored a lot of different products and skin regimens to balance it out and get it to cooperate. Skin care can tricky, though-sometimes I’d find myself using the same products over and over even if they weren’t working the best, because I was afraid trying something new would cause irritation.

Recently, however, I made the leap. I changed up my skin care routine, and I’m actually really loving it. I’m doing my best to use as many all natural products, since I can tell my skin does not appreciate a lot of harsh chemicals, and it’s definitely made a pretty immediate difference! For instance, I ditched makeup removing wipes for an oil based cleanser, and went to LUSH for a skin consultation, because their products are all natural and gentle on the skin, but still very effective.

If you’re curious about all the individual products in my routine, keep reading! Also, let me know some of your skin care favs. I’m definitely in the mood to test new things!

I use the Yes to Grapefruit line…it’s natural too! I LOVE it…I also use the Yes to Cucumbers eye makeup remover, and the Yes to Naturals Argan Oil face wipes in a pinch….love the whole Yes to line! AND you can buy it at Target or Wal-Mart!

Thanks for sharing, Steph! I’m going to have to try products from that line, too!
