Wedding Wednesdays: Progress Report

Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m excited to bring you the second installment of Wedding Wednesdays! I just wanted to say that I know not everyone out there is engaged, and maybe marriage isn’t on your radar right now, but I love sharing my life and goings on with you, so I hope you’ll embrace and enjoy this series! If anything, maybe you can reference these posts when the time does come! The first Wedding Wednesday covered some planning tips that I have learned so far, and today I’m covering all the things that Ted and I have planned so far!

We’ve been engaged for about 2 and a half months, and I’m pretty proud of the planning progress we’ve made. I think the key is to just have fun with it, and not feel too pressured. I never thought we would have made some of the decisions we did so quickly, but I think our approach to the planning process has made all the difference.

I am determined for this process to be fun, and a perfect excuse to make time with my family and fiancé discussing various elements of the day. Up to this point, the process has been nothing but enjoyable, and I’m so excited to work with all the vendors we’ve chosen! In fact, I’ve loved planning so much that these past 2 and a half months have made me question why I’m not working in some aspect of the wedding industry…

What I’ve Planned So Far:

Next on Our To Do list:

  • Finalize the guest list
  • Choose/send save the dates
  • Shop for bridesmaid dresses
  • Shop for suits
  • Research/book honeymoon
  • Taste testing for food/cake (So, SO excited for this!)
  • Plan ceremony music
  • Design the reception space

Love that you’re sharing this as I love all things weddings and I think part of me still wants to work in the wedding industry somehow. Literally 98% of my closest friends are already married and it happened in the first 3 years after college so now I actually miss talking about weddings LOL Your color palette is pretty close to what I would do for my wedding too.

    Happy Planning and Congratulations! 🙂

I’m glad the both of you are hitting the ground running.
For honeymoon ideas, might I suggest a cruise? It’s a great way to get some good deals and really soak up lots of experiences.
