October Favorites 2016

Happy November! I have to admit, while I’m not a fan of the time change, I’m a huge fan of the fact that I get a little less judged for wanting to listen to Christmas music and burn holiday candles. (Yes, I’m that person!) I’m looking forward to this brand new month, but before we kiss October goodbye, I wanted to share some of my favorites from the month!

Fashion Favorites:

  • Baseball hats: I featured a hat in my September favorites, and yes, I’m still obsessed. October was definitely the month of casual ball caps, and I don’t see myself quitting them anytime soon!
  • Calson Scarf: I’m totally cheating on my plaid scarf collection, but this scarf has totally stolen my heart! Allow me to enable you…you need this in your life!
  • BP Trolley Booties: These boots were a Christmas gift 2 years ago, and I constantly reach for them! Comfy, and fashionable. Check, and check!

Beauty Favorites:

  • Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation: It took me awhile to hop on this bandwagon, but I get the obsession with this foundation. This stuff is full coverage, and lasts all day!
  • Yes to Tomatoes Makeup Remover Wipes: So, I was trying to swear off makeup wipes because of the chemicals in them, but sometimes I’m just too lazy to use anything else. These inexpensive, all natural wipes are a great compromise because they get the job done quickly and without the nasty chemicals.

Random Favorites:

  • Candles: Something about candles make me feel so, relaxed, and also sort of…fancy? (Haha weird, I know!) I just loving lighting a candle when I’m working at my desk, and Bath and Body Works carries one of my all time favorite scents: Mahogany Teakwood…go get you some!
  • West World: This show is helping  Ted and I to fill the gap in our TV watching lives that is being caused by the forever long Game of Thrones hiatus. It took me an episode or 2 to catch on to the gist and get hooked, but I’m officially hooked.
  • McDonald’s Coffee and Tea:  I recently switched shifts at work, and I feel like I need coffee to function. I love that Mcdonald’s coffee is inexpensive, convenient, and  actually really tasty! (I get a hot coffee with vanilla flavoring) Oh, and their unsweetened iced tea is a classic fav, especially when any size is $1. Super size me!
