In the days following that post, Julissa of Wedding Paper Divas contacted me with information regarding wedding hashtags, and how Wedding Paper Divas can take all the work and thought out of having a unique hashtag of your own!
Wedding Paper Divas actually has a, wait for it…wedding hashtag generator! Why didn’t I think of that!? After all, in a world where social media infiltrates our everyday lives, the perfect hashtag is something every and bride and groom have to come up with! Well, you don’t have to, but with any modern wedding, why wouldn’t you want to!? It’s such a fun and interactive way to have guests capture your big day from their point of view. They may catch something from a unique angle, or they my even capture something your photographer misses altogether with all of the hustle and bustle going on.
Of course, finding the perfect wedding hashtag can be way easier said than done. For one, you have to find something that captures your spirit as a couple, is easy to remember, and not already in use. That’s where Wedding Paper Divas comes in because their tool addresses those exact issues!
By entering your name and wedding date into the hashtag generator, you are given dozens of options from which to choose. The generator even allows you to check the availability of hashtags you may have already been considering across various social media outlets including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This is awesome, because you don’t want to run the risk of using a hashtag that has previously been used.
So, what do you do once you’ve generated your unique wedding hashtag? Use it everywhere! The more your guests see it, the easier it will be for them to use it on your big day. In addition to using it on your social media posts, consider adding it to save the dates, invitations, your wedding website, and on signage around the venue.
Ted and I used the Wedding Paper Divas generator to get ideas, and make sure that some of our potential front runners weren’t in use. As a sort of play off of my blog title, we are leaning toward using #SeeMollyWedTed as our hashtag, and good news…no one has used that one, yet! Score!
So, future brides and grooms, what are you waiting for!? Head on over to Wedding Paper Divas to generate your perfect hashtag!
