Hello, friends! Welcome to another Wedding Wednesday! Today is Wednesday, April 12th and that means it’s officially 4 months until Ted and I tie the knot. You think I’m freaking out, but I’m completely calm and collected…okay, maybe not completely.
In this installment of Wedding Wednesdays, I wanted to share a super easy, but super cute DIY on which I’ve been working! Whether or not you’re DIYing most of your wedding, or just a few details, I think handmade touches make a wedding so personal and unique.
The DIY project Ted and I (…believe it or not, it was mostly Ted!) decided to incorporate into our wedding was an idea inspired by a pin that was part of my ’15 Pins that Inspired My Wedding Post’ and it’s…wait for it…gold spray painted animals!
“How in the world are you going to use gold spray painted animals at your wedding?” You may be asking. Fair question, my friend! The gold spray painted animals are going to have escort cards tied around their necks (…or tails)! So, instead of just having the usual tented name cards, or a board with a list of table numbers, we are going to have party animals! (…no, really, there is going to be a sign on the escort card table that says “Find Your Seat, Party Animal!”)
What did we do before Pinterest!?
If an assortment of wild animals doesn’t quite fit your wedding vibe, consider other things you could use as escort cards. Pumpkins (spray painted gold or white would be beyond chic!), leaves (you could write guests’ names in pretty, flowy script), sea shells, the possibilities are endless! I personally think straying from the expected seat assignment vessels is a great way to add a fun, memorable, touch…and it’s a great way to flex those creative muscles!
This is going to be a super quick post, but I just wanted to share…
