You guys, it’s here! This is it! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! It’s…WEDDING WEEK!
I’m in a bit of disbelief. People kept telling me that our wedding would be here before I knew it, but it honestly feels like Ted was down on his knee asking me to be his wife just yesterday! (If you missed our engagement story, you can check it out HERE)
Wedding Wednesdays started as a way for me to keep my readers updated on all our wedding plans and such, and I’ve honestly loved every step of planning. Part of me isn’t ready for all of the wedding prep to be over, but a larger part of me is just so ready to be married and start my forever with Ted.
I think this post will just sort of cover how I’m feeling, what I’m most looking forward to, things that popped up last minutes, etc. I did want to let you know however, that I will be continuing Wedding Wednesdays even after Ted and I tie the knot! As I mentioned above, I’ve loved planning my wedding so much so that I want to continue sharing about my process even after the wedding! I have lots of posts planned…so stay tuned!
So, how am I feeling? That’s the question I’ve gotten the most in this past month or so, and all I can ever do is smile and say how happy and excited I am. Of course there have been some bumps in the wedding planning road-meetings getting double booked, mistakes on programs, last minute centerpiece additions-but thanks to Ted, his parents, my parents, my sister, my extended family, and my amazing vendors, I was able to remain pretty zen and remind myself that it would all work out.
Another question I’ve been getting a lot is what I’m most looking forward to, and, wait for it…total Miss America answer coming at you, being in a room with everyone I love is something I cannot wait to experience.
Having all your loved ones gathered in one place just doesn’t happen often, and I’m so overjoyed to celebrate with everyone! After all, that’s really why I put so much effort into planning- I want everyone to enjoy themselves and have a great time! So bring on the food, the drink, the dancing, and all the memories!
Of course, the entire focus of the day is the love that Ted and I share for one another and our decision to commit to one another for the rest of lives. So, of course becoming Mrs. Villari is what I’m really most looking forward to.
So, Ted, if you’re reading this…I love you. I love how you make me laugh, I love how you make me feel safe, I love our inside jokes and car karaoke sessions, I love how fiercely loyal you are, I love how you push me to best the version of myself, I love how important family is to you, and I love that you want a family of our own. I’ve dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl, and I’m so blessed that you will be the man waiting for me at the end of the aisle. See you Saturday, handsome. (I’ll be the one in the white dress with the streaky mascara)
