Fall Bucket List 2017

While summer will always hold the most special place in my heart (nothing beats warm weather, days by the pool, soft serve ice cream, and BBQs!), fall is a close second favorite season! The cooler weather in Cincinnati, and the return of football have definitely gotten me in the autumnal mood. (I’ve even started dusting off my riding boots and scouring the shelves for some new plaid shirts!) All this fall spirit has made me think about the things I want to do this season. Here’s my fall bucket list, what’s yours!? Fall Bucket…

Olive Off the Shoulder Top

I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that a working title for this post was “Indiana Jones Chic”. Maybe it’s the hat and ripped denim combo, but something about this was giving me total Harrison Ford archeologist vibes haha Anyways, lame working titles and childhood crushes aside, how cute is this top!? I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to feature it a post (I have it in as black as well), but better late than never! This top can easily be dressed up or down…

How to Slay Your Sunday

I can’t be the only one that dreads the end of the weekend. Sundays always seem to have this weird aura about them; it’s usually a nice, slow paced day off, but it’s also a day closer to another work week, and I don’t know, it can just be a downer! Wedding Wednesdays: Our Invites x Poeme

At the beginning of the planning process, I was expecting to buy our invitations offline. A pre-designed template that I could just fill in with our information sounded easy enough. After all, it was good enough for our save the dates. I quickly realized however, that none of the designs were quite what I wanted, and I wanted the invitation to be just right. The font was a bit too swirly, or the colors were a bit off, and I didn’t know if I trusted working with a designer via email. Luckily, one of my vendors raved…

How to Get Ahead at Work

Adulting can be hard, especially when we’re talking about it in regards to the professional setting. The regular 9-5 grind (or 7-7 in my case!) can become monotonous, and aspirations and passions can become diluted and forgotten. Lately, in my own professional life, I’ve been making a huge effort to get ahead at my work and in my career. No more drifting along and being one of thousands of employees, no! I’m really working to stand out, and be an asset to my department. My sudden professional epiphany sort of inspired this…
