Long lashes are something I have always envied and strived for and I’ve tried it all to get doll-like lashes. Serums, tinting, lifting, falsies, extensions. All of it. I would be lying if I said lash extensions didn’t make me feel like a model off duty super model but they were life altering. They were pricey, I drove out of my way appointments, and I had to be careful of how I applied and removed makeup so personally not worth it (…but if you ever see me with them again just let it happen. It can take me several times to learn my lesson haha)
Out of all the aforementioned options mascara quickly emerged as the most convenient, consistent, and cost effective way for me to achieve the lashes of my dreams. Once upon a time I used to think that a higher price point directly correlated to better results. This led to years spent purchasing a variety of high-end options and always being let down by anti-climactic results. Call me hard to please but if I’m paying $25-$30 for mascara my lashes better knock people over when I blink.
Thankfully I finally got a grip, went to my local drug store and started testing more budget friendly options. I couldn’t tell you how many I tried before I found my holy grail mascara, but they were all worth it in the end because they led me to the L’Oreal Lash Paradise. Oh baby is this stuff *chef’s kiss*! It lengthens, it gives volume, it stays on all day without flaking or transfer and all at a $10 price point.
Maybe even more important than the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara is the Lash Paradise Primer. And the combination of the two? Truly life-changing. Okay, okay, lash-changing. The primer is this light pink, almost white magic potion that you use to coat your lashes prior to using the mascara that makes the mascara ultra effective. I don’t know the science behind it…I suppose I could google and find out, but it’s almost more fun to just marvel at the results and wonder how the heck L’Oreal figured it out!
I have re-purchased this duo no short of twelve times and I will continue to do so. Trust me when I say run don’t walk to your nearest drug store because you need this combo in your life!
